CoatHanger
Hello, had a really wierd week last week, and i forgot to blog about it! haha..
Okay it starts on friday afternoon. I was happily checking my email and blogging when suddenly, Simon(my roomie!) and Mr Mckinney(Boarding Sch head) walk into the room! Mr Mckinney then "asks" me if i wanted to assist in something(he didn't quite clarify) at a tea party of some sort at the Headmaster's(Principal's) house. In my head, i was like "no way man! i'm not wasting my friday afternoon on some tea party!", so i was going to say no. But then Simon says that he was going as well, and that they were urgent and really really needed my help, without it they would cease to exist. So being the goody boy i was, i agreed.
So, Simon and I had to change(change back again coz we just changed out of our school u!) into our no.1 sch U, which means tie and blazer, and walk to the Headmaster's house. And guess what we did. We hung the guests' coats. Wooptodoodah. We were coat hangers, standing at the door, waitin for ppl to arrive, and then say "Hi ma'am, may i take your coat please?" and they would go "certainly not! but u can hang it up for me." HAhaha i'm so funny. Okay that wasn't exactly how it went, but it was something to that extent.
Well the bright side of this escapade was that we got to eat the leftovers of the party(doesn't sound to bright huh). But hey, it beat boarding house food anyday! So that was good..
Friday night was the dance. Well, i didn't go, but i heard that 6 guys including the headboy of the sch were suspended for being drunk. Hmm... not to smart to go to school drunk, i say. Well found out today that he was sacked as headboy. On friday, i also came to know that another 5 guys from the boarding house were suspended for smoking in the building. Aiyah... not too smart as well.
Sat was kinda boring.. Woke up early to call some ppl in sg. Had to coz if i woke up too late, they would have been asleep! Sat night in sg, have to slp early to wake up for church see. But, the phones didn't work!! for some reason, the thing couldn't connect.. sorry guys!
In the afternoon, treated Adrian and Ryan with "all you can eat sushi for 10 bucks." We ate soo much. Oh man, our singaporean mentalities really showed.
Adrian: How many plates of sushi do u want?
Aaron:Me hungry..
Ryan:Me 2, how about... 4 dozen?
Adrian:set.
Adrian: U want more tofu, teriyaki beef, or sushi?
Ryan:All.
Aaron: set.
Yes as u can see, we ate alot. The reciept was like... real long. I had to fold it 3 times to fit it in my wallet... haha. And all for 33 dollars? Plus tax.
Sunday was pretty cool, went with Simon to a church in downtown Vancouver. We had never been there before, and Jane gave me the address, so we decided to go. It was a beautiful church, with really nice stained glass windows. Oh it was called Christ Church Cathedrial, and is i think the biggest Anglican church in Vancouver. The choir there was.. professional man. The msg was great too! And we even had Holy Communion! Yes, it was kinda awkward, with everyone drinking from 1 cup. And i was a little afriad that i would get drunk on the wine(real wine), so i dipped my wafer into the wine and ate it instead.. Well it was definately a great experience!
Yup okay, gotta go slp now. It's wayy past my bed time. Looking forward to the wkend. Looking forward even more to spring break!
Psalms 1:1-3, "1 Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the unGodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night. 3 He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper."
